Letter from the President
This is an exciting — and a challenging — time for non-profit associations. New technologies offer opportunities to reach larger audiences, keep members more involved and more effectively promote organizational goals. Almost paradoxically, though, many associations still struggle to retain members, achieve consistent strategic growth and cultivate the financial resources needed to effectively promote their goals. Technology has offered new tools, but not necessarily new solutions.
Our aim at CMP Management is to help you leverage your organizational strengths to achieve your organizational goals. From the beginning, it’s been our policy to provide high quality services at a competitive price. We know the budgetary limitations faced by most non-profit associations, and we are committed to working within those boundaries to deliver excellent value.
Thanks to our systems-based structure, we’re able to document every service we perform for an association, ensuring that we deliver consistent, efficient management at a fair price, regardless of unforeseen circumstances. And our team-oriented approach not only allows us to draw on the specific expertise of several individuals to enhance the level of service we provide, it also helps distribute key organizational knowledge among multiple stakeholders. That in turn helps prevent choke-points and costly delays.
Don’t just take my word for it that our system works. In 2005, we took over the conference management for the Alamo Chapter of the Air Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). In planning their 2006 conference in San Antonio, Texas, we utilized our systems-based approach to develop checklists and other efficiency-enhancing, streamlining processes.
Our unique approach helped us drastically reduce the cost of the conference without decreasing its scope or quality. What was the bottom line for AFCEA? The 2006 conference produced a net profit four times greater than the previous year’s event. AFCEA is now a full service association management client of CMP Management.
